Integrative Bodywork Therapy
Integrative Bodywork Therapy incorporates specific hands-on techniques used to treat and heal the body as well as calm tension in the mind.
Injury/ Sports Medicine- Prevention and treatment of athletic and common injuries
Trigger Point Therapy- Releasing "knots". Creating space in tight or cramped muscles increases blood, lymph, and energy flow as well as nerve conduction. Where blood flows, healing goes.
Cupping- Used in Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries, cupping is used to soften tense muscles and fascia, release build up and stagnancy blocking healthy blood and lymph flow, and bring balance to organs through the meridian channels.
Alignment Therapy- A common burden is tension between the shoulder blades in the mid to upper back region. Shoulders are often rounded forward due to chronic holding patterns (eg: sitting hunched over a computer for hours a day). This causes great tension in the back as the muscles overstretch and become hyper tonic and "knot" laden. Alignment therapy lengthens the shortened muscles in the front of the body which reduces tension in the back (overstretched) muscles. A common symptom of this work is feeling taller. This work applies to any muscular balancing anywhere in the body.
